Twins tend to be smaller than a single child. Generally, this is due to the fact that they are not mature enough. They also more often suffer from brain damage and other physical disabilities compared with an only child.

Mental development

Mental equations between identical twins more than between non-identical twins, and this situation continues into old age. Identical twins also showed strong similarities in terms of special abilities, such as musical talent and artistic.

Social development

Twins tend to compete for the attention of adults, tend to mimic each other's behavior, and speech. And tend interdependent on each other in the association during the preschool. As they age, then the rivalry developed between them. One of them usually act as leaders and forcing others to follow. This affects their relationships with other family members and with people outside the family.

Personality development

Many twins have difficulty in developing a personal identity. This is especially true in identical twins and non-identical twins with the same sex. Other twins who enjoy a close relationship twinning and they are happy for the attention they receive as a result of their similar appearance. This situation creates a feeling of complacency and self-confidence.

Behavior that invites trouble

Behavior that invites trouble was reported more widely available among twins than in anatara only child of the same age. Presumed that this is caused by the treatment of twins, both at home and outside the home. Behavior that invites trouble also reported more frequently found in non-identical twins than identical twins. Considered that this is due to greater competition among non-identical twins than between identical twins.
