Mitosis and Meiosis difference
mitosis
- A stem cell diploid (2n) into two daughter cells diploid (2n)
- The number of chromosomes each daughter cell by the number of parent chromosomes
- Occurs in all somatic cells (body cells)

meiosis
- A stem cell diploid (2n) into four haploid daughter cells (n)
- The number of chromosomes chromosome half the daughter cells of stem cells
- Occurs only in the reproductive organs to form gametes (sex cells).
